About Our Parish
Saint Anna's Orthodox Church is a small mission church located in Louisa, Virginia. Currently we are a dependency of the Monastery of Saint Demetrios, located in Spotsylvania, Virginia. Saint Anna's is part of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), and under the spiritual leadership of Metropolitan Jonah Paffhausen and Hieromonk Aidan Keller whom both reside at the monastery.
About Our Patron
According to the Life of Saint Anna, her and her husband Saint Joachim, after years of childlessness, were visited by an angel who told them that they would conceive a child. Saint Anna promised to dedicate the child to God's service. That child is the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God (in Greek - Theotokos).
